ANNOUNCEMENTS...
Next General Membership Meeting will
be on Tuesday, July 6, 2010,
at 7:30 PM at Pizza Gourmet, 12425 Hedges Run Drive (Hedges Run and Old Bridge Rd. in Giant Shopping Center).
Pizza Gourmet is "smoke-free" and they have given
us the use of their back room to hold our meetings.
As always, if you are interested in a run before the meeting,
meet in the parking lot at 6:00 PM. Go for a nice easy 4 miler with plenty of time to cool down and towel off prior to the meeting.
Little Rock Marathon, Little Rock, AK,

Report by Mike Johnson... Little Rock, AR presented
a test for Pat (37th marathon and 27th
state) & JC (23rd state). JC hadn�t trained
more than 13 miles since he ran Hartford Marathon last
October. Pat hadn�t trained more than 6 miles since she
ran Honolulu Marathon in December. Race day morning had
temperatures around the mid 40�s. Pat requested an
early start at 6:00 AM. JC started at 8:00 AM. The
course ran through the residential and downtown areas of
Little Rock. The people along the course and volunteers
were wonderful. The only problem with the course was
the hills and numerous turns. Finishing times were JC
4:59 and Pat 5:57. Mike walked the 5K on Saturday and
finished in 50:41.
